Sanja Belac

Sanja Belac is the chef and manager of Starac i More, a family restaurant with a long-standing tradition. Although her professional journey began in pastry, her passion for cooking and gastronomy developed while growing up alongside the family restaurant.

In her work, she combines creativity, organization, and a deep understanding of food as part of culture and identity. She is particularly focused on interpreting local ingredients and the flavors of the island of Pag through modern à la carte dishes, tasting menus, and signature desserts.

Today, she leads the new generation of the Starac i More restaurant and actively participates in gastro projects and events such as MarsOvca and GremoIst, through which she promotes local products, collaboration among hospitality professionals, and the development of an authentic Croatian gastro scene.

She continuously develops her professional expertise through education, collaborations with chefs and winemakers, and by creating experiences that bring guests closer to the culture, tradition, and contemporary gastronomy of the island of Pag.
